If you don’t like your photo, use photo editing software to flip it. It turns out that we are so used to seeing ourselves in the mirror that we would rather see our mirror image. The unfortunate problem with this approach is that no one else wants to see our mirror image. To address this problem without offending others, I recommend placing a mirror in front of your computer so you no longer have to see yourself as others do. The same approach will work with photo albums – just keep a mirror handy.
To automate this process, the All About Images blog Is planning to release the inamirror iPhone App. Using the new iPhone fingerprint sensor, this app automatically senses whether you are holding the phone and if you are, it displays your mirror image. It will be available real soon now. The inadelusion iPhone app, which automatically makes all days sunny and fills the photo with rainbows and unicorns, is also under development. Sorry Android and PC users, you are out of luck.
For more about why we prefer our mirror image, see Why do we hate seeing photos of ourselves?
I am ROTFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet. I would totally buy the inadelusion app. That’s the one that lets you eat all you want and never gain weight too, right?
you are hysterical….don’t know how you think of all these things….LOL
I bet when you get an investor, you’ll be able to release Android, and web browser versions real soon. Wait, that may not be the best direction to team up with an investor. I guess you’ll be best off going ahead yourself!
You made my day again, Dr. Mark!!! Too funny!
Mirror Mark looks friendlier to me. 🙂
Love it!! Can’t wait for it. OOPS! I have a Droid. Oh well.
So glad I left my water in the kitchen!!!! I’d have spewed it for sure! Thanks for making me laugh Dr. Mark!! And for what it’s worth… I like the right side of the left image and the left side of the right image — oh yeah, they’re the same! 🙂
I just love this. You make me smile when things are ticking me off at A&Z.
